So I came back from a weekend in South Bend Indiana to see my alma mater lose to Notre Dame (I hate our coach...who calls a time out to punt????)
Anyways I brewed up a Belgian Dubbel on Thursday with a pretty big starter. The final volume in my ale pail was around 5.75 gallons. The airlock started bubbling in about 6 hours. I then changed out the 3 piece airlock to a blow off tube since I was leaving on Thursday late night to stay with my SWMBO then to leave early on Friday and we wouldn't be back until Sunday night.
Here is what the blow off tube went through.
Wow this would have been a mess if I didn't change that out before I left.
