Hey everyone. I bottled a hoppy double IPA a week ago. My first bottling day went smoothly. I was going to sample one of the bottles today to taste the green beer and see how the conditioning was coming.

Unfortunately, I'm sick. So I'll have to put it off.

Should I be seeing any signs of activity in the bottles? It's a little cloudy (very faint), but I don't see any real signs of activity or carbonation in there? I hope this is just me being paranoid. I'd like to RDWAHAHB, but because of my head and chest cold, I will try to RDWAHSCM (relax, don't worry and have some cold medicine).

I've read that overly hopped beers such as this one will take some longer times to carbonate and do their thing. I was just checking.

The only thing you'll really see is a buildup of the fallen yeast at the bottom of the bottle. But that isn't a direct indicator of carbonation.
