I've read some people carbonate with up to 4 volumes of CO2 in beer bottles. I've got Sierra Nevada bottles (reused once) and brand new bottles of unknown type from the LHBS. All of them seem like they are good condition.
I have a dopple weisenbock that I'd like to carb to 3 volumes of CO2. I can't afford to have bottle bombs (almost literally).
I want the most sage advice out there. Pretend you're me and your SWIMBO is just waiting for a bottle bomb to destroy your hobby.
