I've seen a lot of posts about people creating a boxed chamber with a dorm fridge but what about just using a dorm fridge if you can fit a bucket in it?
I can fit an ale pale in this small fridge I have but I would have to bend up the freezer portion a little bit. I'm planning on buying a digital temp. controller.
Is there any reason this wouldn't work? Wouldn't it be very efficient compared to using a full size fridge (I realize it's a trade off for space limitations).
I wouldn't be able to fit an airlock on the fermenter but would that be a real issue? Would the freezer portion cause any issues being so close to the top of the bucket? It just one of those small freezer portions to slide ice cube trays into. I guess I'm just looking for some practical advice on why this would or would not work. Thanks!
