...this marks the first batch where I've been able to have a homebrew while making homebrew! I must say, that improves the whole process.
Everything went swimmingly with no major crap-ups. I hit my OG on the dot, the smack pack was swelling nicely before I pitched, and this was also the first batch where I've been comfortable enough NOT to consult Palmer's How To Brew during brewing. This should be a tasty Honey Kölsch when all is said and done.
Sadly, since I started late, I wasn't able to meet my mates down at the pub to watch the USAvEngland World Cup match, but I've got it on here (albeit in Spanish, but it still works) and we're still tied 1 to 1.
All told, this has been a good day.
