Winter (extract) recipe?

Good morning all,

I am looking to brew up something for Christmas with the family. Does anyone have, or know where to find, a good holiday ale? I've seen some recipes involving cinnamon/nutmeg/etc and am leaning towards those.

Any help would be appreciated.

I don't have any recipes to share. So far the ones I've tried with spices in them have been bust. They smell great boiling but something doesn't work out well in the end.

You may want to try tasting some commercial beers first to see what you like or don't.

I like Sam Smith's Winter Warmer Ale a lot. Surprisingly, it doesn't have any spices in it. Austin Homebrew sells a clone recipe of it and it looks good.

These spiced ales I keep hearing about... What temperature would they be served at?
