any comments on how effective a therminator below boil kettle is at gravity alone or is it better to run with pump??

I use one mounted with the top of the Therminator about 1" below my Boil Kettle. With gravity feed it will empty 10 gallons into the fermenting bucket in about 15 minutes. The connections are 1/2" Ball Valve from the Kettle through 1/2" I.D. tubing to the Therminator.

With the cold water supply running thru the Therminator, it chills the 10 gallons from 210F down to 65-70F in that same 15 minutes.

Seems to work OK for me, so I don't see the need to use a pump.
