So, SWMBO is away for two and half weeks..Time to brew, play some darts, not do the dishes, let the laundry pile up..

What do you do when SWMBO's away?

I live it up as best I can without doing anything divorceable. Brewing beer is high on the list of things to do though. Cigars are also on the list, nice to not be called 'stinky' after a stogie. :D

Yeah, brewing beer is number one. She appreciates that though.

Then I usually go to the store and buy all the foods that I like that she dosen't and then have a feast of mushrooms, mussels, etc.

The only thing I do worse than play piano is sing. I do both when she's away if she takes the kids too. It gets pretty bad in here.

I walk around naked a lot too.

Her name is Tiffany...

I also enjoy Tiffany when SWMBO is away!

Wait.. what?

Naked, pizza, loud music, whiskey (have self-banned myself from drinking this in company), tv, brewing, stayingup late.

Basically doing all the stuff I did when I was 18. Thank god she doesn't go away often! I would be dead by now.

Ditto. Plus the stogies! Ohh, and porn! Get much drunker that I ever do with SWMBO and the kiddos here. Lots of Pizza and brewing. I can't sleep well wihout her here, so I just get drunk and pass out. Not sure how I would do with 2 weeks. I barely survived the last long weekend she went away. Yard pissing increases dramatically. Painted Flames on the lawnmower, too. Forgot NCAA football.

I'd definitely have the boys over...which means (in no particular order):

BBQ Tri Tip
Lots of Beer
Cigarettes
Weed
Poker
Posting druck on HBT (I do that anyways...)

That's just the first night...

If my wife's away, it's likely business.
Which means the kids (3 and <1) are still here. So I:
- Get them up
- Feed them breakfast
- Get them dressed
- Play a little (mostly, keep 3 from body slamming 1)
- Take them to daycare/preschool
- Work all day
- Pick them up
- Play some more
- Feed them dinner
- Give them baths
- Put the little one to bed (7:30)
- read/play with the older one
- Put the older one to bed (9ish)
- Work some more (beer in hand, one eye on the Daily Show)
- Couple more brews and some HBT
- Bed

Yeah, it's a raging party. Control your envy :D

Boy, I feel sorry for some of you guys. It seems like your swmbo's are your mommies. I hate when my swmbo goes away. I don't have my brewing partner and companion. If I want to do something and she doesn't like or want to do it with me then I go. It's the same in the reverse. I love my life.

:D

F#ck you and your charmed life... haha. Actually, it's pretty much the same for me. Normal life with the two young kids eventually makes me feel old but we play like single kids once a month when they stay at grandma's for the weekend.

If I got left alone for that much time I'd probably start about a dozen new projects and a few new hobbies that I'll never finish. And surf pr0n, but that would only take about 1/2 hour each day.

... of course, by "half hour," you mean five minutes at a time, six times a day!

I go shooting everyday, brew as MUCH as possible, and probably buy something stupid (like a Mosin-Nagant).

Oh, and smoke A LOT of meat!

Can't... fight... immature... sense of humor... <insert Beavis laugh here>

I'm with the bigjohnmilford on this one. I have a brew/golf day with friends once in a while, but SWMBO and I have never been apart for more than a couple of days and I don't know that I would want to be.

When my wife is gone I buy a lot of weird cheeses (which she can't stand). When I'm gone she and my 13-year old have fish sticks and canned green beans (which I can't stand). I'm also among the group that doesn't sleep worth a damn when his wife is out of town.

When both she and the kids are gone I eat a lot of meals standing up. I also watch movies I won't inflict on anyone else. I actually own a copy of "Big Trouble in Little China," if that gives you any idea.

Mostly I do stuff to fill the time till she gets home. Pathetic, really. We're going to be one of those prune-like couples that holds hands in line for the early bird special.

very rare thick-cut ribeye grilled over harwood and more beer than you can shake a stick at and then the next day ... stone crab and more beer

brew some beer but then i end up missing her. Probably build a piece of furniture; that's my relaxation time, I can do that for a week solid

Oh man...stone crab! My SWMBO has a really strong aversion to seafood, but I'd live on it if I were closer to the ocean. When she goes, I definitely hit up the seafood. There aren't too many good sushi restaurants around here, but Sierra Nevada puts on a sushi night one Thursday every month. Ken Grossman comes down and cooks...and it's a beautiful thing!:tank:
