Root beer bottles

You can use any carbonated beverage bottle (there's actually an industry term for them that escapes me right now...) for beer. I've been using Diet Coke bottles for the past few months with no ill effects. I've also read that it can be difficult to get the root beer flavor completely out of the bottles...
 
I've heard to avoid root beer because the flavor/aroma persists more than other beverages. I think the term for the type of bottle is PET. They will handle, according to a chart I saw at Northern Brewer, more volumes of CO2 pressure than a champagne bottle, so no worries there. As long as you keep it out of the light until you're drinking it, it doesn't matter if they're clear, either.
