I went to the brew store, picked up my supplies and cruised home. Then I decided to take the lady to a movie and midway through realized that I had left the yeast in the car.

When I got home I tossed it in the fridge and want to know if I can use it in the next few days or should get some more? I am not worried about it fermenting, I am worried it will make some funky and wierd beer.

It is Wy1280 London Ale and I will be making a dark ale with it, close to a porter. The planned bill:

10lbs English pale malt
1.5lb Crystal 90
.5 lb Chocolate

1oz Perle (1/2 60 min, 1/2 30min)

The heat won't cause massive mutations, but it probably killed most of the cells. A starter is your best bet.

+1 for the starter

I left my yeast in a 110 degree warehouse for an entire weekend not on purpose just I shipped to my work and it came late. I made a starter all was well no off flavors or anything.
