I've just harvested my first crop and dried then packed them into tea balls of around 20 grams. Can somebody tell me what method of use will give the best result when using them as finishing hops in a kit brew.
ie: 1 hour boil. 5 minute boil. Throw them in dry. or simply steep them like a normal cup of tea.

Finishing hops should go into the kettle in the last 5 minutes. boiling them much longer will contribute bitterness (of an unknown intensity, since your homegrown hops don't have a reliable alpha measurement).

You could always dry hop with them. The alpha rating won't matter.
