I obtained a "growler" from a chemisty lab. 1.5 gallon amber jug used to store bulk alcohol. Did a quick test with vinegar and baking soda to see if the lid could be sealed air tight and that seemed to be fine. Then I did a test to see if the glass could withstand the pressure of bottle conditioning. By test I mean I tried to condition beer in it. NOPE. Busted glass. I had the jug in a bucket with a thick blanket covering the top, so no glass shards in the closet.
Note to self...it's called bottle conditioning, not jug conditioning.
