After boiling an all grain batch and you are transferring it to your fermenter, do you want to filter out the break material? I wasn't sure if that contained many of "nutrients" that yeast need or not.
My funnel came with a filter and I had to stop about 5 times during the transfer to clean the filter out of "gunk" and it was only a half batch!
