Hey,

I have 2.5 gallons of cider I'd like to keg up.

Anything I need to keep in mind or do different with so much more headspace?

Should the pressure be changed? Typically my process is to set at 10 psi and wait for a week.

With more headspace does the time to carb change?

Thanks!

No problems at all. I would just do it the way you normally would with a full 5 gallons. Obviously, purge the oxygen out of the head space but you should be doing that every time regardless of liquid volume anyways.

Think of it this way. As you drink a 5 gallon batch, it gets down to 2.5 gallons at some point and everything is fine then, right? No worries.

The headspace is only an issue if you are trying to keg condition with priming sugar. If you are force carbing (as it sounds like you are), this should be no problem. I split 5 gallon batches with my brewing partner, so we do this all the time without issue. As blackbear said, no need to change pressures - just purge and you should be fine.
