first batch ever, all grain, still 2 weeks to go in my original aging estimation. but it's damn good. lil carbonated, not too bad tho. AV may be a tad on the low side. lil cloudy. but i hit the taste i was looking for dead on. thnx hbt

i kinda re-did the recipe in beersmith.. and scaled it to a 10 gallon batch. originally i did a five gallon and used promash. promash's default settings overcalculated the amount of water needed and turned up with too much wort. my lil brother just gave his recipe for one of his red's that i thought just turned out really good, so i gave it a shot and tweekd it ever so slightly. his involved some Belgium candi sugar in the boil and lacked the wild rice.
