I have about 10 homebrews under my belt. I've used dry yeasts pitched directly into the primary fermenter and liquid yeast (disaterous due to high temps during shipment). Three of my dry yeast batches had an off flavor I attribute to "wild yeasts" so I think I would like to try yeast starters.
My questions, 1) What size earlynmeyer flash do you recommend? 2) How much malt do you recommend for a good starter?
