Issue with faucet seating in shank...

Has anyone ever had this? Its like the grooves won't align all the way around. I know it's the shank because all 3 of my faucets fit perfectly on the other 2 shanks.

Any help other than an exchange?

If you swap the parts between faucets will it still happen? Other than that, send it back.

That's all I can think of.
 
Yeah, it doesn't work at all. I guess I'm gonna have to send it back.
