I'm getting ready to put my first beer on nitro but had a question about carbonating prior to serving. I am planing on carbing my 5 gallons of Chocolate Milk Stout in a corny with co2 before hooking it up to beergas for serving. What volume should it be carbed to? If I decide to naturally carb it, how much priming sugar should I use to get the very mild carbonation that is ideal for a nitro tapped stout?

I also just got a nitro set up.

I have read a ton of threads and talked to a guy the my LHBS that has a nitro set up. This is what I came up with. I am sure some experts will chime in soon.

Carb very low. He said he likes to carb at 3-5 lbs for a week before hooking up the beergas. It might be slightly undercarbed but will get there in a few more days on the beergas.
