Fermentation chamber question...

Hey everyone! First off, happy holidays.

I just have a question I was hoping Someone could answer. I have a chest freezer, a Johnson 419, and a lightbulb. I don't want to wire up a love controller, even though I know that is ideal. However, can I set up the chamber with what I have? The space is cold in the winter and (very hot) in the summer. I only make ales so far too. Thanks for any help everyone!
 
What size is the lightbulb? That's the deciding factor there. That said, they don't really throw that much heat unless they're the infra red ones, which I've only used in a barn. I don't think the johnson works the same way as a ranco does. The ranco are power interrupters and the ones I use. I'm sure someone can tell you how to wire that bad boy in though.
