My manifold is 3/8" with a bell reducer from 1/2" to 3/8". But, I also just use a umbilical with a NG QD from Dortman fittings.

I used 1/4" soft copper with needle valves and reducer bushings.

It works like a charm and allows full regulation of flame height.

My red stand above uses propane. I have 3 banjos and a red 0-30 psi regulator for high pressure. I get 3 brews w/90 minute boils on one tank, average. I have to adjust my regulator as I look at the flame on initial startup sometimes but overall thats it. Good system and works fine. If I were to change anything it would be better pilot lights, which I made myself by drilling out some brass end caps with a couple of tiny holes.

Nice pics! Mind if I mind asking what kind of orifices you used to the burner, and what kind of flared fittings? Also, is that just a plain regular ball valve, or is it a needle valve.

Thanks.
