My name is Luke and I'm going to throw some of my recipes on here eventually. Right now though, I have two unanswered questions:
1. I threw in some bourbon soaked oak chips into the secondary for a stout I'm brewing. The brew developed a white filmy layer on top that I fear is mold or something. I was pretty careful with keeping things clean and am hoping that maybe it has something to do with the oil in the oak chips or something. Can anyone tell me not to worry or am I SOL thanks to contamination?
2. Any suggestions on brewing an Oktoberfest with out lagering? I have no fridge to keep things cold, though my cellar is a constant 61F year-round.
Thanks!
