Dry yeast packets for nutients?

I read some where that if you add a dry yeast packet into the wort it would have the same affect as adding regular yeast nutrients. I have three packets of Nottingham yeast I have no use for since I only use liquid yeast.

What do you think?
 
It's actually more likely that the Nottingham would take hold before your liquid strain and impart more of an English ale flavor. Why the aversion to using it as your only yeast? Nottingham is a great yeast.
 
I think he meant adding it to the boil, personally, I only add yeast nutrient to ciders and apfelwein, wort has plenty of nutrients for yeast.
