Do Magnum hops work in English Beer?

Or even Blondes for that matter?

Do you really get the bitterness you want to get from the 60 minute addition without any real flavor or aroma even in delicate styles of beer?
 
Yes, and no. :D

I wouldn't use chinook for bittering a blonde, as it's a "harsher" bitterness. But for the most part, any "clean" bittering hop without harsh notes will work for bittering. Magnum is a German hop, so it works great for bittering many beer styles. It doesn't have a strong aroma, and provides a nice clean bitterness that works with just about anything.
