Just about ready to rack my 1st CDA to the secondary. Now I'm contemplating possibly adding an extra flavor like vanilla bean, fruit or something in the secondary. It's a grain/extract recipe using some crystal, carapils, and carafa II along with light LME. Hops and schedule include:

60 min 1 oz Centennial Hops
60 min 1 oz Columbus Hops
30 min 1 oz Centennial
15 min 1 oz Simcoe Hops
Flame Out 1 oz Amarillo
Dry Hop 1 oz Simcoe and .5 oz Amarillo

Burton yeast.

Any suggestions or should I leave it be?
I don't want to ruin it just for the sake of adding extra flavor.

A dark hoppy beer probably already has enough going on. If you forced me to add something I’d go with an ingredient that would play with the hops like citrus zest, juniper, or a citrusy/piney herb. You could always take a gallon of the beer to add something and leave the rest alone.

Leave it alone. Your palate will already be confused. LOL
Seriously though, I'm half way through a 5 gallon batch and everytime I open one up I have a different perception of it.
