I have a bag of beer "mix" from my "Beer machine" that I'd like to make with my typical beer equipment. You would simply add the mix to water in the beer machine, pitch the yeast, and that's it, but I'm wondering if I should do a boil with it before i put it in the fermentation bucket. It's essentially hopped DME, so if I boil it, will it be too bitter? It's a "Dutch Lager". The kit makes 2.6gal. Anyone else done this?
