I rehydrated some dry wine yeast that I was going to use for some hard cider, but I read the fine print on the apple cider container and it has preservatives in it. Can I store the rehydrated yeast in a mason jar and stick it in the fridge until I fine some preservative free apple cider?

if you package it with good sanitation practices you sure can. Just make sure you keep everything as perfect as you can and you will be fine.

Now that said, a package of dry wine yeast is only .99 so if you have a LHBS I would just toss it out and just get another pack and not waste your time.

Cheers

:) thx Jaybird. Ill just toss it out. I would hate for it to go bad amd not know.
