This may be a dumb question but I'd rather ask it anyway. I cannot seem to remove the tubing that I put on the siphon starter. I wanted to remove it after using it so I can clean it and sanitize it for the next time. I have tried to pull the tube off but it just won't come off.

Before I cut the tubing, do I need to remove or since it is too hard to remove it will be okay?

Hot water will make the tube softer. Try putting it over steam from a kettle, or dip it in hot water. Sometimes i also just cut it if that does not work, and you only loose a bit of tubing.

yeah heat it up with warm water; and good luck. I snapped the siphon the 2nd time I tried removing it. You should remove it to sanitize, but take your time or spend $10 each brew ;)
