Hi all. Made my first yeast starter two nights ago. It will be for my 5th extract batch to brew, which I had originally planned to brew tonight. Im wondering if my starter looks as though its showing signs of infection. Its got white circular spots forming on the surface which look an awful lot like things we used to grow back in micro-bio in college on agar smears (of course we grew yeast too which had similar looking colonies on agar at least..).

Even if its not infected, as it turns out I will not be able to brew until Friday Morning. If its not infected I can just stick it in the fridge for a few days right?

Thanks for any help, its much appreciated.

It looks like it's showing signs of having fizzy yeast colonies on the surface after the krauzen fell and left you some nice yeast in the bottom of it...

In other words...it looks fine...
