I just brewed my third batch, and went with the honey stout from morebeer.com.

Grains were:
8 oz Black Barley
4 oz Munich
4 oz Honey Malt

Extract:
6 lbs Light LME
.5 lbs Light DME

Here's where I think I may habe gotten confused and screwed up.

It also came with 4 oz Maltodextrin (I am pretty sure, sorry, doing this from memory, my notebook is at home) and 1.5 lbs of honey. The instructions said to add the Maltodextrin when I added the extract to my steeped grain water. Then add the honey with 45 minutes left in the boil.

I came out with an OG of 1.1. That seems crazy. The calculator says it should be 1.062 at 100% efficiency and 1.043 at 75%. The kit page says it should be 1.053-1.057.

Did I just mess up with the reading? It doesn't seem possible that it could be this high.
