I have 1lb of two row and 1lb of wheat 8oz choc malt and 8 oz crystal 40....
4lbs Dark Extract and 1 lb wheat extract

I have a small pumpkin and I was thinking about roasting and adding a pound to my partial mash...

This is a stout....Will I have enough grain to covert the pumpkin?

Will the pumpkin have the same effect on a stout that oatmeal would...

Is this a waste of time?.....Thoughts?

the pumpkin will lend only a bit to the overall starch conversion, it will not give the same silkiness that oatmeal gives, ive mashed with pumpkin before and roasted it first to soften it and then mashed slighty, this gave much better utilization.
