Welcome, this is the best place for information, fun, and brew friends.
Although I am now in Northern Virginia, I lived in Hoover from 1995-2006. I was in Russet Woods and worked at BellSouth at the Colonnade.
Sure do miss the cost of living down there.

I have been brewing for years, but I have introduced it to my neighbors on my street. There are now 4 homebrewers on my street in Clay and that's the ones I know about. We have a good start on a club!
