Bottling from primed carboy

Does it sound reasonable to rack into a clean carboy, add priming sugar as usual, then siphon into bottles? My siphon set up would allow this quite easily. Having just fought an infection, I'm convinced it's in my bucket/spigot, I'm done with plastic.
 
that's really the only way i've ever done it myself. I put the priming sugar in first, then rack into that carboy. my thinking is that the sugar mixes better while the beer is siphoned in creating swirling/mixing. HTH.
