Im going to start my apple cinnamon mead this weekend. I found some pure apple juice that comes in one gallon glass bottles. I am going to save the bottles anyways for yeast starters, but will I run into any problems by using them as secondarys first?

My thought is no, probably not, but I just want some verrification. I may have to buy an extra bottle of juice and drink it unfermented to free up enough bottles. If I can do this I will have a free carboy, and I can still brew beer!

Bulk aging is better to be done in bulk. A larger mass is less affected by temperature swings and you can get a more complete attenuation. Also remember you'll need all those airlocks...
Not to say that it can't be done - it's just not optimal.
