Since winter has arrived I’ve been looking for things to do inside to pass the time. I thought and came to the conclusion of starting another wine. I’ll be making a 3 gallon batch of strawberry wine with the frozen strawberries you get from the grocery store.

In the wines I’ve done I’ve always used one type of yeast. For this strawberry I was going to use Montrachet or Champagne. So I finally arrive at my question.

I’m sure some on this site have made batches of strawberry with each type of yeast. Has anyone noticed the taste differences for each batch? I know Montrachet and Champagne each lends a certain taste to a wine and I was wondering how it affected the strawberry.

Also has anyone combined these two yeast packets in a strawberry before? I also thought about doing that.

Cheers :mug:
