Hey folks,

Getting ready to brew Northern Brewers Irish Blond tomorrow.

Their instructions for the grain part says (I've done partial mashes before, I am probably overthinking more than anything), to "steep the grains for 20 minutes until the water reaches 170 F, remove bag and discard."

This sounds too basic, i guess. What should I do here in regards to the grains, fwiw, here is the recipe/kit: (looking for suggestions, thanks)

Thanks everyone

That looks like an extract kit w/specialty grains. So, no mashing is needed; specialty grains don't have any starches that need to be converted for fermentation.

Mashing base malt is different from steeping specialty grains.
