Paul is 20 years old in 1980, but only 15 years old in 1985. How is this possible?

This answer is certainly not very clear
But I do think I came up with something
although "Paul" and my answer don't paralell function

Se best I can come up with is;
How can one get younger the older he gets?
It is an answer that makes the mind twitch
so if in 1980 he is 20?
and Five years later Paul is five years younger?
I'm guessing wrongly that time is a paradigm..
His age is not based progessively it goes back in time

The answe must be - 21st century..

If I say I weight 175 what would that mean?
Ounces, stone or something in between?
So, given a year in which he was born
Something is missing, something not shown

Hold on man I'm thinking,
and I should probably start drinking.
Might need to sleep on this for the night
Because my mind is tired and the answer is out of my sight.

I believe the only way this is possible is if we are talking years BC (where the calendar counts down or backward). So in this case Paul would have been born in 2000 BC

Well I'm sure this isn't the answer,
I know this isn't right.
But he would get younger if traveling faster than light.

LOL... I love riddles... but don't be too impressed.... the only reason I knew that one is because years ago I didn't believe a friend who told me the BC years ran a countdown instead of count up. I lost $20 betting the friend was wrong..... so that's why it came to my mind.
