Please critique this hop schedule.

I'm doing a czech pils this weekend and the recipe calls for this hop Schedule.

The recipe calls for an all saaz hop Schedule
2oz @ 60mins
1oz @ 30mins
1oz @ 10mins
1oz @ flame out

Is it me or does this seem like a lot?

what is the grain bill? what is your mash schedule? (time and temps)

Offhand, no, it does not seem like a lot. Czech pils is hoppy and Saaz are pretty low alpha. However, what bw said. We need to see the rest of the recipe.

8.5Lbs German Pils
.5lbs Cara pils malt
.5 Crystal Malt (20L)

Mashing @ 152 for 60 minutes.
Boil for 60 minutes.

This sounds about right. I use about 4.5 oz. in my Bohemian Pilsner, with a similar hopping schedule, it's very close. It's a GREAT beer, it's even worth doing a decoction mash - which I highly recommend for this beer.

I'm not sure about using Crystal in a Pilsner. I would replace that with Vienna, or Vienna plus a small amount of Munich.

hop schedule looks good. try a dry hop when you do your diacetyl rest. gives the beer a nice aroma a spiciness up front.
