Friday morning I began pricing copper so I could make a wort chiller. The average price for 50 feet of 1/2 inch copper was about $120; one place gave me a price of $42. After work I went to the place that quoted me $42 knowing full well it was a mistake and not really expecting to walk out with 50 feet of copper for $42. Indeed there was a mistake but the store honored the misquoted price. The actual price should have been $125.
Then
I go to the liquor store and stumbled across some discounted beer: 4 packs of 2008 North Coast Old stock Ale for $3.99, 4 packs of North Coast Plowshare for $3.99 and Sam Smith winter Ale for $1.99. I bought a couple Sam Smiths, a 4 pack of plowshare and a case of Old Stock.
