Rust on hop leaf

Hi all.....was wondering if someone could tell me the cause of what appears to be rust on the underside of the hop leaf. Sorry..no pics, I'll try to post a few tomorrow. Thanks

Pics would help. There are a group of fungi that grow on leaves known as "rusts", but they are not known on hops.
