How many cups of corn sugar in a pound?

EdWort's recipe calls for 2 pounds of corn sugar for a batch of Apfelwine, I am making my first batch of this stuff tonight and want to know how many cups is in a pound, I have a 5 pound bag and no scale as of yet! Thanks!
 
I don't think Apfelwine is an exact science, so you'd probably be safe just using about 40% of the bag and call it good. :D I think that actually measuring exactly kind of goes against the spirit of the thing. :D
 
SWMBO is excited, the apfelwein is now in the carboy...

I didn't tell her about the potential rhino fart smell? Is that cruel...it is being done in her apartment LOL :rockin:
 
Definitely get a scale since volume measurements can vary quite a bit if you aren't measuring liquid. Especially powders or things that are varying in size like hops.
