So I found this recipe on another blog, wondering what peope think...

Do the raisin go in the mash tun? or in the boil, and when?

I changed the Willamette to Saaz... Got a pound for 10 bucks and I tend to like bitterness and aroma of the hop...

So below is what I got, any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

:mug:

42% Belgian Pale
28% American Two-row Pale
10% Caramel
9% Raisans, Plain
4% CaraVienne
3% Belgian Special B
2% Caramunich
2% Oats, Flaked

boil 90 mins 0.5 Columbus
boil 30 mins 0.25 Saaz
boil 15 mins 0.25 Saaz
boil 5 mins 0.25 Columbus

Wyeast 3522 Belgian Ardennes

boil 2 min 2 ea Cinnamon Sticks
boil 15 min 1 ea Whirlfloc Tablet
boil 2 min 1 ea Vanilla Bean
primary 7 days 8 ounces Oak Chips, light toast

Not raisins, dried black mission figs! :)
Also, you'll need some Belgian candi sugar (which, as everyone knows, is sucrose inverted...right?).
There are probably some other things needed too, and I have no idea what the proportions and/or order of addition might be.
But, as we don't have much hope of seeing any more Monk's Blood on Cali's shelves, let's figure this out. :)
