Hey all. So I've had some oak chips sitting in 12 year old rum for like 5 or 6 months. I was going to take another stab at a Pirate Porter, but I was wondering if you had any more creative ideas.
A dry Irish Stout perhaps? An oatmeal stout? Maybe the semi-sweetness of an oatmeal would contrast nicely with the harsher rum spices and oak? Russian Imperial Stout maybe?
