I'm sure I'm just being paranoid,but there has been a pretty thick yeasty krausen for two weeks on my hefeweizen. It had a really active fermentation then has been this way for two weeks.

I figured, just never seen a krausen so yeast like or last so long.

Thanks for the confirmation.
 
My hoegaarden clone with bottle harvested yeast usually has a full krausen for 3 weeks. Even despite the fact that the hydrometer shows the beer is usually at terminal gravity at that point.
 
I usually have to crash my hefeweizen to get it to drop in any reasonable amount of time...
 
It's fine. Did 20 Gal assorted Hefe-raspberry, blueberry, etc for summertime. Looks like the same sticky wheat mess i had. It will fall.....eventually. A gentle swirl after a few weeks in Primary will also help. Love the Hefe!
