So, I washed my first yeast from a porter and it was Notty. I want to brew an 11 gallon batch of BM's Centennial Blonde Ale and it also calls for Notty. Is it taboo to use washed yeast from a dark beer in a light beer? Should you try and stick to the same type/color of beer when using washed yeast?

TIA for the help!

John

If you wash the yeast a couple of times, as per the instructions in the sticky, I would not worry about it. I'm assuming that your porter was a normal gravity beer.
