Swinging the ax again today. Split a half-cord of wood. Now time for a beer.

Did wake n bake release for the season already? I seen you post one yesterday but didn't ask.

Wake n bake isn't out yet.

Correct, I like to put some away every year to enjoy until the next release, plus to throw in as extras on trades. They get damn good with a little age on them.

Drinking some 10 month old apfelwein.

Had a sample of my English Barleywine after a few weeks with WLP099 as a secondary strain. It ate all the body right out, and left me with a gravity of 1.004. Suffice to say, no longer a Barleywine. I'm not happy, and won't use that strain again.

Easing my frustration with this. Not the best I've had, but not too bad either.

I used 099 on a huge RIS I made in April. It did the same thing. Ended at 1.001 and was just chock full of fusels. Last time I use that strain as well.

Some RuinTen while I get ready to bottle my rye saison. Someone in Montana will be getting beer mail in the next week or so

Nitro, my last one. Maybe I'll have a Marshall 5, or a Prairie Puncheon after all the kids go to bed. I may wait though, 1st day of school tomorrow, and my nerves may be shot by the time they get home...

Mosaic IPA

I'm liking the glass but nervous I'll break it at any moment.

They're very thin aren't they. I'm always afraid I'll break mine while I'm washing it.

Fuzzy, sounds like you're having a pretty good beercation! I'm jealous.

I am! Its been great. Now having one I picked up at a bottle shop down the block from Kuhnhenn. Baltika (Russia) #9 Extra Lager. Its almost like a Imperial Vienna would be. 9% comes in a 51 oz plastic........yes plastic bottle. Very malty a little hop flavor in the end. Oh and was on sale for $2 each!

Creamy nuttyness!!! Not bad. ... usually don't go for this type of beer. I like it tho. Southern tier is a lil pricy for what it is. Not crazy about to but good. Kind of has a dry grain alcohol after taste. Meh

Baltika is very hit or miss for me (usually miss). I don't think I've had that one, but isn't it their version of malt liquor? The 51oz plastic bottle kind of says it all.

Still nursing my Jalapeno Smoked Porter.

It might be but its got some crystal and actual flavor. I'd drink this over bmc anyday. Like I said tastes like a decent Vienna

Gimme a good cab any night of the week. How's that one?

Tonight had a Heady, Resin, Piraat, Fin du Monde, and now another Resin.

It is a good one for the price. On Sundays the place I work for does half off bottles. Plus 25% more for being an employee so 75% off a bottle of wine. This was only 12 bucks for me. I want to have one age for a bit, this one is only 2011. I don't buy too many wines so I don't know a lot about it. Tastes good though to me and hey for the price, might as well try it.

Edit: nice lineup of beers.
