Well, I decided to try and play around with Beersmith a little and "produce my own" for a change. This is my first cut at my take on a hoppy American Pale Ale. I need soe feedback from the experts here before I actually brew it.

Sounds good. My local brewpub uses EKG in their IPA, it works well. Nice change from Cascades, which seems to dominate the Left Coast IPAs.

All those hops give me 138+ IBUs using Promash. Is there really that big of a discrepancy between those 2 programs?

Sorry, in my calulations, I am doing extract with a 2-gallon boil. Big difference is in the boil volume. I need to go huge on the hops to compensate for the lower volume.

You can always boil some of the hops separately in straight water for better extraction. Start the bittering hops in a gallon of water when you start steeping the crystal.

Well, I made a few tweaks based on some input I recieved various places.
