I'm going to do a pm stove top version per deathbrewers thread.

When I sparge do I make sure it holds at 170f for 10 minutes or with the grains being a different temp from the mash is it ok if the temp drops?
 
It's ok if the temp drops a little. But it probably won't. If you heat the sparge water to ~175f, the grains will already be somewhere between 150-155 from the mash, so the combination will take it somewhere in the mid-high 160's, which is where you want it. The temp of the sparge is a little less important overall than the temp of the mash, since the sparge is more of a rinse while the mash is where more of the sugar conversion takes place.

Also, if you've heated your water properly, when you mix in the grain and put the lid back on the pot, it'll probably hold pretty well.
