Blowoff tube water

Mine gets rather gross after a strong fermentation but I just leave it. The only way dirty water would be a concern is if you get a siphon from it into the fermenter. If it's giving off gross smells then I don't see harm in changing it.
 
Unless the water is mucked up with blow-off goo, I leave it and use it next time.

The blowoff from the robust porter I brewed recently was quite nasty, much like a full baby diaper in color, consistency, and smell. I'm not usually disgusted by krausen, but this stuff was foul. The beer is great, though!
