A little over a month ago I smacked a pack of Wyeast Ringwood Ale yeast. I ended up not using it at the time and stuck it in the fridge after it swelled up. Tommorow I am brewing and didn't have time to make a starter (oatmeal stout OG = 0.055). I did smack another pack of Ringwood tonight though. My question is since I didn't make a starter should I go ahead and pitch both smack packs even though the one was activated a month ago ? If hypothetically all the yeast in the old smack pack were dead would there be any autoalysis flavors or other ill effects ?

Unless you've wholly mistreated the previous pack, I see no reason why it wouldn't be a great addition to the new pitch. Use 'em both!
