how long is my starter good for?

I made a Marzen/Oktoberfest starter last week. I built it up to a full gallon, chilled it and poured of about half of the starter beer. I planned on brewing last weekend 8/22 but I had other things to do...Is my starter still good? It is still in the jug in the fridge...so it's about a week old now

Sure, it's fine. If you go too much longer before you can brew, I'd suggest adding a little bit of fresh wort the day before you brew, just to "wake up" the starter again.
